A Biman Bangladesh Boeing 737-800 with 124 passengers onboard, was flying from Muscat, Oman to Dhaka, Bangladesh, when the captain (44) suffered a heart attack and lost consciences en route at FL370 around 190nm northeast of Nagpur (India).
Whereas the cabin crew called a physician among the travelers, the first officer took control of the B737-800, and about 40 minutes afterward, he securely landed the airplane on Nagpur’s runway 32. The captain was taken to the hospital where he died a few hours later.
