Two pilots were killed after a helicopter crashed in Erhai Lake in Dali, Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, during a fire fighting operation on Monday morning.

There were four crew members in the helicopter during the mission, and the other two are still missing, said the local government in a statement.

A total of 16 boats and more than 490 rescuers have begun to search and rescue efforts at the scene, according to the statement. The rescue is still underway.
