Emirates intends to expand its operations and the number of destinations on its summer network in anticipation of a surge in air travel demand in the summer of 2021.
To meet predicted demand for international air travel, the airline has chosen to expand its widebody network and reactivate 30 Airbus A380s.
The airline announced a network expansion plan on June 18, 2021, with a goal of serving 124 destinations by July 2021, while preparing for 90 percent of its pre-pandemic network with 880 weekly flights. As of June 2021, the company serves 115 destinations.
