The Canada Border Administrations Organization (CBSA) announced on September 3, that only vaccinated people will be welcomed to Canada.
“Effective September 7, those aliens who will be fully vaccinated travelers exception can enter Canada for optional (non-essential) travel,” the CBSA expressed in a statement.
The non-Canadian citizens and permanent residents who would follow this rule can easily enter the country.
Although travelers must confirm that they meet the testing and online form-filling criteria before arrival. The confirmation of future border reopening comes a month after restrictions on non-essential travel for fully vaccinated visitors from the United States were eliminated.
Entries by air expanded by 30% within the first week after the waving of the restrictions, with 179,939 flight arrival compared to 138,257 the past week.
Only 46,506 passengers arrived by plane within August of the exact week in 2020, compared to 783,790 in 2019.
