A couple of days ago, on March 9th the Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Denver, a passenger onboard was asked to put on the face mask 8 to 10 times. After ignoring the flight attendant’s request, the passenger struck her arm. Later on, it was also revealed that the passenger was standing up and urinating on his seat.
This incident has now moved into the US judicial system as the 24-year-old passenger has to face charges of “interfering with a flight crew in violation of Title 49, United States Code, Section 46504.” This charge carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison and/or a fine of up to $250,000.
The 24 years old passenger Landon Perry Grier, who is from Cañon City, Colorado, made his initial appearance in federal court in Denver on March 11th.
